Hi,
We will be staying at the Signature MGM Grand and I have been reading reviews until my eyes hurt, but everyone seems to say about the same thing. Most reviews are exceedingly positive and the nay sayers all say about the same thing.
One thing I noticed that I had a question about, it seems many travelers have a preference for which Tower they are in. Can someone answer if a particular tower is better and why? I know that 1 is the oldest and 3 the newest, just coming on line. I would assume that the condos for purchase would be in all three, but am unable to verify.
So far what I think we will want is the highest possible room, with a strip view and a balcony. Does that fit with your experiences at the Sig?
Do they book you into a specific tower, or can you request one at check in?
Thanks in advance!
The Signature Tower and Floor questions
I booked the Signature for Dec 23 - 28. I only requested a balcony, not a paticular building. (Except now, I am having second thoughts about that as I am truly terrified of heights) I have not stayed there before but I believe they are all privately owned or on the way to being privately owned.
I have also seen many of them on vrbo.com where they are booked directly through the owners. They usually mention which building/floor these units are on. However, if you book this way you normally wouldn%26#39;t receive the same cancellation policy as you would booking directly through the hotel. Also, you usually have to pay for it all before you go.
The Signature Tower and Floor questions
We stayed there in April. You are assigned your tower when you arrive. The taxi has to go through a guarded gate to get into the signature and the guard has a list of names with the tower you are in, which tells the driver where to take you. Once inside, you can request a strip view or balcony. We were lucky to get both! It was awesome! Try the ';it%26#39;s my first time to vegas'; trick.. that worked for us! (it was a first trip for one girl in our group, so it wasn%26#39;t a complete lie) They were extremely nice! If you are in tower 2, see if Carrie is at the front desk. She%26#39;s a sweetheart!!!
Thanks! Any info is helpful
I called in a few days before my stay and asked if I could request a room on a high floor, strip view, with a balcony. They happily obliged. I ended up on the 14th floor with a view the Marriott, PH, Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
Does anyone know for sure if Tower 1 is closest to the MGM?
Thanks
I just toured The Signature last weekend and went to all three towers.
Tower 1 is the closest to the MGM Grand. It has a cocktail Lounge, Starbucks, small pool, and small fitness center.
Tower 2 is the middle tower. it has a deli called Delights (great), medium pool, and meeting rooms.
Tower 3 is the closest to the Strip and has a large fitness center, the largest pool complex, and meeting rooms.
Will have a review up soon!
Does anyone know if they have their own parking, or if they just use the MGM Grand%26#39;s garage?
Signature is all valet. You can park at any tower and pick up your car at any tower.
You can park at the MGM Grand main parking garage and walk to Signature, though I wouldn%26#39;t suggest it on first arrival or you%26#39;d have to drag your luggage through the entire casino before reaching the towers.
