Need to get advice

I am going to Las Vegas from May 02 to May 7th. I have booked the airfare and now need to decide how to fill up all of the time. It will be my fiance%26#39;s first trip out there and we will stay on the strip. I am not a big gambler, I will bring about $2000 out there and would like to know what casinos will appreciate my play, what resturants or shows are the best value(not the cheapest necesarily) and any other little known secrets that will make this a good trip.Also I am under 25 and want to get a car and it looks like I will have to pay the 15-25 dollar per day premium for my rental car. Are there any other options as far as renting the car goes.Thanks to all who help in advancePat

If you like slots or low limit blackjack, go downtown or stick to the small casinos on the strip.If you want to play hold %26#39;em poker, Luxor and Excalibur have poker lessons for beginners at 2:00 P.M. every day and then open the table up for live bets after 1/2 hour. It is only 1-2 poker, which means very low opening bets and raises. The intimidation is taken away since everyone is basically a beginner. Your money can last for hours!!For restaurants, the best buffet value for the money is either at Harrah%26#39;s or Aladdin.The other hotel buffets are just too expensive especially at Rio and Palms.As far as nightclubs, I am partial to Jimmy Buffet%26#39;s Margaritaville at Flamingo, Rum Jungle at Mandalay Bay or Drai%26#39;s in Barbary Coast. Hard Rock, Rain, RA, Bikini%26#39;s, Ghost Bar, Coyote Ugly are too much hype and way overrated.Rio has decent, affordable restaurants for American, Sushi or Italian. Again, stay away from the buffet ($30)The good shows are usually the most expensive. I like Penn and Teller, Danny Gans and Blue Man group. This is where you should not skimp. However, go to the discount ticket place featured in all of the programs and magazines. I forgot the name of the place. Do not buy at the hotel box office.Advice: Go with LOW expectations unless you WANT to spend alot of money. Las Vegas can be very expensive. One of the biggest turn-offs is long lines so ask if your hotel has airport check-in. Check-out through the cable TV. Believe me, waiting in line can be painful.

On the serious note, I always avoid casinos attention and never ask to rate me for comps in table games (I do not play SLOTS because they are the ultimate suckers). Who cares about a $12 free buffet when they want you to play for 2 hours at $15 and above rate ? I can earn $12 in one hand of black jack and run !!

One of my friends is very good at playing roulette using ';3Q/A Reverse Select'; strategy and he always RUNS as soon as he hits his first hand (and he hits 99% of the time). He makes all the money in just one spin of the wheel (he call it the surgical precision !!) and then either heads to the bar or wherever the food is. If it%26#39;s an odd hour for food or drink, he just saves the money and acts as a cheer leader for the crowd who are happily loosing their hard earned money in the table !!. To me, he is the most successful gambler I ever have met . He happily accepts the fact that he cannot beat the house in long run but he can make money using short calculative strikes at some definite points when player%26#39;s have the edge.

Can you clue me in on this ';strategy?'; Please be very detailed and specific.

Well ! If you ask me, I%26#39;ll never bet my money on roulette. However, there is a ';system'; based on some statistics which gives some advantage to players for couple of spins. Aparantly, this was created by a gambling geek and statistically proven to produce 7.25 % advantage for players on a strategy play. Some people really mastered that system (like one of my friends) and for them it always worked !! I%26#39;m a little too skeptic to accept the fact that you can actually predict where the ball will land (though this strategy works on a 12 number range). On the otherhand, one of my best friends does it almost regularly after monitoring 20-30 spins. He doesn%26#39;t play more than 2-3 hands on a table and that too after hitting one number, he keeps on waiting and waiting until the table statistically favors the player.To be frank with you, I never believed that roulette wheel can be beaten so I never cared to ask for the details of the strategy. I%26#39;m a avid Black Jack fan and an above average single deck BJ player. If you ask me which strategy you should concentrate on, I would always recommend BJ basic strategy over anything else !!
