Question about money

I%26#39;m traveling to las vegas for the first time July 14th to 19th. I was wondering what I should do about money for tipping and gambling and such? Should I bring a lot of cash or credit and tipping money. I know how high some of those ATM%26#39;s are in those type of places so I want to avoid them.

Question about money

i would bring majority cash and bring yout atm card and if your withdraw money take the maximum out so you dont have to do it over and over as the fee is always the same

Question about money

We usually bring Travelers checks and cash. We take a credit card for emergency use only. The ATM fees can be high, travelers checks are pretty cheap, and can be cashed at any casino.

that would all depend on your trip budget, or how much you

think you will gamble

I take all cash and never use a charge card, to many scams going on a few years ago with cards.

Put your money in the room safe, take only what you need for the time your going to be out.

Most people do use Travelers checks or ATM%26#39;s I find both a pain in the butt.

We use cash for gambling and tips and charge everything else. I never use the ATMs and haven%26#39;t bother with traveler%26#39;s checks.

I didn%26#39;t use the ATMs. You can get a cash card that%26#39;s the same as travelers checks / debit card. The only trouble with that is you don%26#39;t know what is left on the card and you have to add up all your receipts. If you don%26#39;t mind doing that, it%26#39;s pretty handy. If you try to use the card at the casino cashier to get cash out, you get socked with a pretty hefty charge. I like to bring some cash and my credit card along with the travel debit card. It was a nice combination my last trip...got back last night from my 7th Vegas trip.

Have fun.

I use a combination- cash, ATM (off strip is cheaper) and credit cards. I don%26#39;t bring a lot of small bills for tipping- just enough to get me to the hotel. Then I just go to the cashier cage and break a larger bill to get the singles and fives I will need.

Traveler%26#39;s cheques are your friends. Avoid ATMs, they are a one-way ticket to bankruptcy.

I think I might try the travelers checks and large bills and change them.

My friend recently brought only and ATM card figuring he could get cash out there. His bank must have had a policy that you can only take out 200 hundred dollars in a 24 hour period. We all know how fast 200 can go. He was really upset always counting down the minutes until his 24 hours were over :(
