Try priceline.com. Also sometimes can can find cheap airfare directly through the airlines on their own website.
cheap airfare to vegas???
We are going to be in Vegas Oct 16-22 and we got our flight tickets throught America West%26#39;s website. We are flying direct from Philly to Las Vegas and the base price (without flight insurance) was only 176.00 per person. That%26#39;s a steal! I suggest going directly to the airline%26#39;s websites. Another good search aid is Side Step. They check all flights and direct you to the cheapest vendor.
JMN---How soon did you book your flights...we would like to go to Vegas in June but I%26#39;m not sure how soon I should start searching for flights.
I just booked our flights around August 14th. I had been checking the fares almost everyday and they never seems to fluctuate that much. Sometimes they did go up over 200.00, but not by very much. From PA, it aways stayed in the range of 180.00 to 210.00. I was surprised when I saw it drop down to 176.00. That was the lowest yet. I think Vegas flights usually stay pretty steady. A lot like bus trips to Atlantic City, usually the bus lines would have deals with the hotels to get people there cheap. My only suggestion is to not wait until the last minute. Then they seem to be higher. By last minute, I mean withing a week or so. Just check every day or so and when you are comfortable with the fare, book it. Even if the price drops after you have booked your flight, I am sure it%26#39;s a matter of a few dollars. I do have one bit of advice. I always thought direct non-stop flights were more expensive. I found that not to be true. Seem that you pay more in taxes when you have a lay over. Go figure. I guess you are paying for multiple airport taxes. Where are you flying from? Seems like United and America West are the cheapest from the East coast. I would also suggest booking directly with those airlines websites. Expedia and such have the same base price, but do tack on a booking fee of around 20.00 per ticket or so. Good luck! I am very confident with my info. I have surely done my airline homework. LOL
Fluffy...I did some research on flights from Pittsburgh to Las in June 2005 (for example June 11-18th, flying out on a Saturday is generally cheaper) and the flight was 204.00 on the United website. That%26#39;s a good fare. I can%26#39;t imagine that getting any cheaper. Especially from Pittsburgh cuz that is generally more expensive. Expedia was in the 210.00 price range. Just a little more info.
hi, we are going in december and i booked our flight in august with american airlines. i kept checking the prices everyday and found one for $117.00 roundtrip from chicago. you just need to keep checking everyday and if you can, check different dates. a day can make a big difference in the price.
Thanks for the advice, I%26#39;m going to start looking and probably book if I can get it for the $200 price.
If you are near a Southwest hub, that will be your best deal. Go to southwest.com and check for promotional fares or internet specials.
If you are near a southwest airlines hub, check out swavacations.com The vacation packages are decent. I saved $150 by getting the package rather than buying airfare and hotel separately.
Depending on how far you want to drive before your flight, it might be worth while to check into worryfreevacations.com as they fly out of St. Louis. I don%26#39;t know how far that is from you though. If it%26#39;s not too far, their specials go up Tues. to Thur. and vary from week to week, so it pays to keep checking. Wife and I are flying out of Tulsa this Sun. to Vegas and got round trip air for $195 for both of us. Total trip including room at Stardust was 475. Good Luck
