August arrival @ the Mirage. Signed up for Vons grocery delivery. Plan to order my beer and spirits and then if I have any $ left I%26#39;ll get some food too! Let me know how it worked for YOU.
Anyone use grocery delivery to your hotel?
what a great idea. didn%26#39;t know that service was available in LV and to a hotel room. we%26#39;re staying at Signature with stove, microwave, toaster, etc. nice to know we can have our food delivered rather than haul it there with us. thanks!

Thanks for responding. If you go to Safeway.com to sign up for an account there%26#39;s a promo code for your first delivery FREE! Have fun in Vegas we always dooooooooo. GUIDEE
Not planning on getting groceries on my next trip but the info is nice to know. I never even heard of this. Thanx.
Excellent idea guidee.
I nominate this thread for most original and most informative!
This sounds like a great idea in theory but have you spoken to the Mirage to check that they allow this?
I%26#39;m certain they wouldn%26#39;t allow a delivery van to drop off at the main entrance and I would imagine the staff at the deliveries entrance at the rear of the property are busy enough without having to deal with guests personal grocery deliveries. That%26#39;s if they%26#39;ll even allow the van access there.
I see your point Blagger and did consider those possibilities but then, why couldn%26#39;t the driver simply self park and then be treated just like any other visitor a hotel guest may have? For that matter, who%26#39;s to stop guidee from meeting the driver in the lobby or even the parking lot?
I realize MGM/ Mirage properties are run like a Police State (personal experience), but what are they going to do about it?
Good points DrV. I must admit that the delivery guy self parking hadn%26#39;t entered my head and it makes total sense.
That option would also cost the supermarket a lot of money due to the time the guy would be there if he had to park in the parking garage and then haul the stuff into the casino and wait for the hotel guest to come downstairs to get the goods. The store would be losing money. There%26#39;s the guys salary plus cost of delivery vehicle etc.
Not to argue Ms Gabby dear, but how is it any different than the delivery going to a private apartment where they have to find the building, park, unload, find the individual apartment and then wait for the customer to answer the door?
The website states that the minimum order is $50 for all deliverys and only the first one is free for new customers, all orders after that have a minimum charge of $4.95 or roughly 10% + tip of course.

Note: Safeway and Von%26#39;s are the same company.
Leave it to you to have the logical and probably the correct answer, DrV!
