Unless you have a specific brand/model in mind (that may not be in stock), wait and buy them in the US. Go to one of the stores in the outlet malls to get the best price.

There%26#39;s also Nike outlet stores at both Premium Outlets and LV Outlet Center.

soooooooo much cheaper in vegas. i bought my husband 2 pairs of vans trainers that he wears every day and they were under £20 each from the vans shop in the outlet mall. i bought comfy walking trainer type things. they also had lots of good deals on running shoes, if you run and know what type of show you need its definitely a good idea to get them there, esp in the outlet malls. I thought the outlet mall at the south of the strip (just below Mandalay Bay) was better for trainers). The nike shop there had those new ones that link to an ipod far cheaper than home

With a nearly 2-for-1 exchange rate, I would think it makes sense for a Brit to purchase almost anything in the US! If the rates were reversed, I%26#39;d be flying to London to buy cases of marmite and maybe a Bentley! :-)
