getting to las vegas from airport

what is the cheapest way to get from the airport to a strip located hotel

getting to las vegas from airport

Check with the hotel, many have shuttles. There are cheap shuttles at the airport and easy to find near the baggage claim areas. I think taxis are a rip off -- unless you have a couple of people. For some reason it%26#39;s always much more expensive than I would have thought for a pickup AT the airport to the Strip areas -- especially if you are toward the north end of the strip.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. We used Coach USA/Grey Line Shuttle. It is $10.00 round trip to a strip hotel. After you p/u your luggage you go out the doors that are right there, turn left and they have a booth to sell you tickets. The day before you leave Vegas just call them to arrange a p/u time at your hotel for your return trip to the airport. Easy and reasonable!!

We took a taxi. If you say you want to go the back roads - not on the highway - it%26#39;s cheap and quick - about 10 bucks to the Venetian.

I would never tell a taxi driver to ';take the back roads'; unless I had specific roads in mind, it%26#39;s an invitation to get ripped off.

You DO want to say ';no tunnel please'; or similar when you first get in, for most properties anyway.

If cheap is your only criteria, then the airport shuttle may be the way to go, especially if you are in a north strip property. They take longer as they only leave when the bus is full and may make several stops before your hotel. They charge per person and some will discount if you buy a round trip ticket.

However, if you are a party of three or more, it will work out cheaper per person to get a cab.

Take the city bus . Real Cheap. You will be on the strip in about 2 hours after several transfers. BUT its cheap.

Take the shuttles, not as cheap, 1 hr to the strip.

Take a cab, QUICK, 3 dollars more than 2 shuttle tickets, to most central casinos. NO TUNNEL. NO LV STRIP, Take the back way too the casino.

YOU look at map for streets. KOVAL, PARADISE on the EAST side.

I 15 access rdrds on the west side.

The only thing about the shuttles is that you have to wait for the driver to decide which hotel he is going to first . Then you have to wait while he drops all the other people at all the other hotels off one by one . Sometimes it takes forever!!! I tip them 5 bucks upon getting in and tell them to go to my hotel first that always works for me

Here are the shuttles that are available from the airport. You might have to wait for the bus to fill up and you just may be the last person to be dropped off, so it can take a while to get to your hotel:

This site will give you the minimum price you will pay by cab to get to your hotel:

Dont advice coach USA... it was a wild ride...liked to sacred my husband and I to death went around curves so fast that baggage got turned upside down and all around..take a taxi much smoother ride...

well you get what you pay for. grey line left us hanging for our return from the hotel to the airport. going to your hotel this would be the cheapest but if your returning to the airport from the strip and its an off hour (late night or early morning) take a cab it will cost about 2 bucks more but grey line usa is unreliable.
