whiskey petes, primm valley resorts nevada

after friends of ours stayed there and a ultra cheap web price for a room ($15.00) we ventured from our wonderful resort for a nitemare nite at whiskey petes - the room was fine, above

the standards i expected for a $15 a nite room but the entire

resort sucked.

we are slot players, used to having waitresses wait on you,

we saw 2 at whiskey petes all nite and one at buffalo bills (all these 3 resorts are connected by a monorail) - my hubby went up to the bar in buffalo bills requested 2 drinks, bartender wanted to charge him, i dont think so! we played for nearly 6 hours and won nothing, i mean nothing, if they think they have

loose slots, no one around us was winning! we almost drove back to vegas that nite!!!!! we went to eat at the coffee shop,

joke and a 1/2, again no service, the host was talking with a fellow employee as we waited, finally seats us and no one came over for 7 minutes, so we upped and left, walked over

to mcdonalds right next door (not what we wanted for dinner) and proceeded to get waited on with a smile, we gave the girl

our tip that would have went to the coffee house!! made her nite i am sure.

we felt like whiskey petes could have cared less that we were there, and the comps, i guess you have to win to get any - we lost $150 together and didnt comp enough for a hot dog!!

so needless to say, we wont recommend nor ever go back!

too bad, cuz the place is kinda cute - not cute enough !

The rule is if you go up to the bar and order drinks you have to pay for them, unless you%26#39;re playing one of the bars VP machines, then you get a free drink with each $10 inserted. Sounds like you two started off in a bad mood because you lost at the slots.

I have not found the cocktail service to be so poor at Primm. But I too have experienced long waits at the coffee shop (Buffalo Bills, not Whiskey Petes), while the staff seemed to be spending more time talking than working.

I enjoy the atmosphere at Buffalo Bills, the dealers have always been nice, and the table games are very friendly. And it doesn%26#39;t take a lot (compared to the tables I play in Vegas) to be treated like a whale. (Unfortunately, although I get a lot of invitations, I don%26#39;t really want to go to the parties, country music concerts, and other promotions in Primm.)

how much were the drinks- about a $2 a piece, how much was the breakfast $1.49 jackpot special. WOW $15 room and they are complaining. Primm is a bargain

Oh, come on! It%26#39;s not that bad. I just stayed a night at Whiskey Pete%26#39;s last week (I was too tired leaving Vegas to drive 6 hours back to CA) and had a good time. Got a room on the 19th floor for $30 - very clean and very quiet.

I played video poker at the bar for all of 10 minutes and received free cocktails all night - and believe me, I had several. (I was alone and had nothing else to do, so might as well drink and chat with the locals!)

I don%26#39;t think I would ~purposely~ plan a vacation in Primm, but it was a great place to get a few hours of sleep and drink/gamble. In fact, I%26#39;m coming back next Friday night with some friends. We plan on staying one night before heading into Vegas for the 4th of July weekend.
