Where should we stay with 2 kids aged 4 and 8?

We are going to Vegas over xmas, 5 adults and 2 kids, and ideas of where to stay or places to go? i%26#39;m a bit baffled by too much info on the net!

Thanks for any suggestions!

I always recomment that people with children stay off of the strip. The Orleans is nice, and has some things for children including a movie theater and bowling alley. There room rates are usually resonable too.

I%26#39;d say Excaliber

Since it is winter, there will be no pool action for the kids so your activities to keep them occupied are limited. I would suggest the Luxor or Excalibur or off-strip at the Orleans.

IF you rent a car, stay at the ORLEANS--- kid friendly.

No car, stay at EXCALIBUR. kid friendly.

the prices at the luxor from around the 18th of december start at $55, christmas weekend start at $85 and near new year%26#39;s weekend start at $139

how about ';at home';

doody dont listen to people who are rude about kids in vegas. I went at various ages as a kid and so did my brother and we always loved it...we are taking 4 kids there next year.

one thing I cant handle is people who are so negative about kids grrrrrrrrrrrr

Stay on Strip, Ceasers Palace or close. I would use a stroller. You will walk to curbside shows,etc. Too long a walk for the 4yo. Warn the kids to stay close to you in the crowds.Use a cab-there are everywhere-if you leave the immediate strip. Take them over to the Golden Nug for the lights show. Have the adults in your group(no one else) spot them so you can get away to the casinos for 2-3hr. LV is now very family friendly on the strip. Stay on the main street always and if more than 2 blocks from your unit use a cab.

I would definitely recommend the Orleans. Stayed there earlier in the year with a 3yr old and 12 yr old. They have a play area the kids will love and you can then have some time to yourselves. We didn%26#39;t take a stroller and managed fine.
