Steak... where's your favorite?

Hello again! I%26#39;m still madly reading/compiling info for my June Vegas trip with my parents and husband.

My dad%26#39;s thing is STEAK, and he goes all out while on vacation. In Vegas, I can remember him really enjoying a steak at Gallagher%26#39;s in NYNY (and I enjoyed the Guinness on tap, thank you!). We had a delicious but VERY expensive steak dinner at a restaurant that I can%26#39;t recall the name of in Caesar%26#39;s... the service there was REALLY stand-out, so it was worth it. The restaurant manager went right up to my dad, shook his hand, and kept calling him ';boss';-- it was a riot, he loved it! Our waiter was so friendly and attentive that we had a picture taken with him.

I%26#39;d like to try a different restaurant for steak for our next trip. My parents don%26#39;t feel comfortable in super shi-shi, fancy-dancy places, but we don%26#39;t want a Sizzler experience, either. While I know there are some quality restaurants off the strip, for conveinence (since we%26#39;re seeing a show and will have dinner before hand, the shows are Phantom and the Beatles show) I suppose a casino restaurant would be better?

BTW: I read some rather negative reviews for Smith and Wollensky (sp?)? Is it terrible?

Thanks everyone!

Consider Delmonico%26#39;s in Venetian - great place and you will be there for Phantom

Steak... where's your favorite?

The two best are Circus Circus Steakhouse and Prime. CC is about $40 pp and Prime is around $100 pp. Go figure.

I second Delmonico%26#39;s in the Venetian. We had a great meal there. It owned by Emeril Lagasse. I had visitied another one of his restauarant in New Orleans a few years prior, and we got a free appetizer for being a returning guest.

I think you may be overlooking a very interesting steak place in the Capital Grille located in the Fashion Mall. Lunch and dinner menus.

If your dad would enjoy the old vegas feel... try The Range @ Harrahs.

Great info, thanks!

We may stay at Harrah%26#39;s, glad to see a rec. for The Range.

I have been a frequent visitor to Vegas of about 30 years, and Circus Circus Steakhouse is always my wife and I first choice. Have tried all that have been mentioned and although most are very good, they just don’t stand up to Ciscus Circus Steakhouse.

Just click the “RESTAURANT” tab on the left and look. You will quickly notice none of the others are even on the first page. There is a reason for that.

If it is steak you want and you are not interested in the fanciness of the joint, there is no other place to consider but CC Steakhouse.

Great meat, reasonable prices, good prices.

You just have to wad through the huddled masses at the hotel but it is worth it.

Does Your DAD want to pay for Atomsphere or the food.

ALL serve the same quality of beef.

If he wants BRAGGING rights%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; Prime.

Nice dinner, good food and service%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; Canal Street at the Orleans

or The LOFT for prime rib.

Reasonable prices.

I have a guys trip every year for the last 5 years and we always start off our trip with a steak at The Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Great steaks and very reasonable prices. If the carnivores that I travel with (I am one too) are completely satisfied with the place your dad should be too.
