My friends know that I go to Las Vegas often and I get asked about it a lot.
I was asked an odd question last night. One I could not answer, so I thought to ask here.
';Are there combination casinos and legal brothels in Nevada?';
Since I am speaking of a legit business, I trust that the Gods that monitor this forum won%26#39;t pull this question.
What he was asking was not ';are there legal slot machines in the legal brothels';, he was asking about a large multi use resort. Imagine the same pools, shows, nightclubs, bars and gambling found on the Strip but with other legal diversions, a combined facility catering to several vices within the same four walls.
I have got to believe that this ';legal business opportunity'; had to come up at some time in the past. I assured him that the Mob could no doubt handle this back in ';the day'; but he is asking about now.
I told him that there are no legal brothels in any large counties, including Clark County (Las Vegas). His thought is if such a Resort does not exist, it may be a true ';niche to be filled'; and suggested it as an investment opportunity. I declined.
My only comment was that it could make winning certain jackpots more interesting and just think of the comps. and it could add a new definition to ';room service';.
Please let me know what you think.
Are there combination casinos and legal brothels in Nevada? The quick responses....
1. Its a gamble every time you, ahem, ';visit'; such an establishment (don%26#39;t forget those antibiotics).
2. When will the Wynn property be opening up there?
3. Must make for some right interesting pay-offs to the local politicians (talk about a ';sweetheart'; job).
4. It undoubtedly has a pool experience that would but the Hard Rock to shame.
5. Is it non=smoking and how is the buffet?
Are there combination casinos and legal brothels in Nevada? You pose an interesting question, one which probably will get yanked shortly.
I%26#39;m female, and while I have nothing against legalized prostitution, I don%26#39;t think that adding gambling to the mix would be particularly fruitful as you seem to think it may be.
When you visit a brothel, you are there specifically for one reason and one reason only. The house probably wouldn%26#39;t want to take the focus of the girls, or so I%26#39;d think. It also would complicate business matters from a IRS standpoint, wouldn%26#39;t it?
And not for nothing but ';winning'; a women really is quite something else than paying for her. There is a agreement between to consenting parties when it comes to prostitution, but giving a person away as a grand prize, well to me it seems really degrading. Those women probably aren%26#39;t there because they actually truly enjoy the experience, no women with any self-respect would. But at least there is some amount of power in the process the way it stands.
Giving it away - she may as well be any %26#39;ho standing on a street corner in that case.
JMHO, of course.
Amberloo
Jim was serious, drunk but serious.
You do bring up yet another angle ';What or is whom a better word, would be on the buffet?
I have always believed that when designing a casino it is best:
- liquor in the front
- poker in the rear
IMHO...
Ha! Too funny Aggie. Now this will get deleted for sure!
I never said just women would be working there. As I recall there is a male to female brothal under construction near the California border.
The last thing I want to debate is how the workers got there. That is best left to a more learned forum than this one. But we all do something to get by and it is not my place to judge what others chose to do.
The question is one af a multi function facility.
There are distractions everywhere in the casino and frankly you can%26#39;t ';visit'; all the time, so time to gamble may give the patrons a chance to recharge.
Even I think Aggie is twisted. I must remember that quote.
I stand corrected, of course it could be male or female. However, I still stand by my thinking that no matter what gender you are, being given away as a prize is rather demoralizing.
Just remember, they though Steve Wynn was crazy too. Maybe my friend will be the next big winner in Nevada
Maybe, I%26#39;m not expert when it comes to gambling and prostitution :-)
