We will be staying at the Wild Wild West June 1-9. The reviews I have read so far are not too good. Has anyone stayed there recently? Thanks!
Wild Wild West Hotel and Casino
Nope, not a joke. I was not too smart, and neglected to do my homework before booking my trip. I booked a trip for two with hotel and airfare for $655.00 total on Travelocity. I thought that was a good deal. Then I read the hotel reviews! Oh well, I am sure we will still have a great time.

pay the $25 penalty, and the extra room rate money, to stay at a better hotel. A little better would make a big, big difference
The Gold Coast is a cheapo alternative, not much more expensive, that is halfway decent, is next to the sparkling Rio, and Palms, and has shuttles to midstrip...is even walkable if you don%26#39;t mind walking over the freeway
Stratosphere is not much, is cheap, but beats WWW, beats it senseless !
and is walkable to midstrip for anyone in reasonable health, and has fairly decent pool and restaurants. The tower is fun
The Wild Wild West parking lot is full of cabs. The drivers are always inside ';tying one on';. Also , there are plenty of big rigs there.
It reminds me of a motel where you would not be suprised if someone was shot.
The food inside, however, is delicious and cheap. The casino is unbreathable...and I AM a smoker.
