VegasMan another match play ?

Thanks for your response to my question a few days ago. I just need to clarify something.

I%26#39;ll use craps as the example.

You suggested $50 on Pass with the match play coupon and a friend put $75 on Don%26#39;t Pass.

Am I right in assuming the payout for the Pass would be $100 ($50 for my $50 and $50 for the match play)? The end result would be a $100 payout if the Pass wins and a $75 payout if the Don%26#39;t Pass wins for a net gain of $25 for either result?

And of course, you hope the 12 doesn%26#39;t show up on the come out roll. :)

I guess I could always place a small ';insurance'; bet on the 12 just to cover the 1 in 36 chance the 12 will be rolled. And yes, I realize this will cut into the $25 net gain.

One more question. If I place the $50 and match play on the Don%26#39;t Come and the 12 is rolled (a push) do I lose the match play coupon or can I use it again on the next roll?

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Knoot,

Yes, that is what you will get paid $100 $50 and $50 and lose the $75. Or winning the $75 while losing your $50 and the coupon. They should only take the coupon only if you win or lose on that bet. If you push, they should not take away the coupon. Ask first at the casino if you are unsure.

With that being the case, wouldn%26#39;t I be better off to use the $50 + coupon on the Don%26#39;t Pass? If the 12 is rolled with insurance that would (most likely) allow me to use it again ( -$75 + the 12 insurance bet). If I use it in the pass line it would be gone if the 12 is rolled ( -$50, - the coupon, + the 12 insurance bet).

Does this sound logical or am I thinking way to hard about this?

Knooter,

Considering the 1 in 36 chance of the 12 rolling, way too much time, consideration and brain cells are being used here. But you are correct, Use the coupon on the Don%26#39;t Pass with your $50 and put the $75 on the Pass Line. $3 on the 12 will get you a return of $93 if it rolls and you call your bet down afterwards. A profit of $40 best of all worlds.

Joe

Knooter,

Ooops, Actually the profit would be $15 if the 12 rolls. Not the $40 I mentioned before. I%26#39;m not supposed to have to do math until I get to work. But, you still will have the coupon to try again.

$5 on a hard 10 as a tip for your help. ;-)
