cocktail waitress etiquette

Hello all

This probably sounds very niave but when we went to Vegas last year, whilst in the casinos, playing the slots, we paid the cocktail waitress the same as we would have paid at the bar + a tip for our drinks. Ive now read through some of the other posts on this forum and am quite confused! Are these drinks supposed to be free (except a tip) or were we correct in paying full price. Just want to clarify as we%26#39;re back there next month and want to make sure we get it correct!

Cheers

General rule of thumb: if you%26#39;re gambling, the drinks are free. Tip the waitress, though: we tip at least $1 a drink. A girl%26#39;s gotta make a living.

I have been to many casinos in Veags and a buck a drink will keep the waitresses coming back, some casinos keep them coming faster than others though.

I bet the cocktail waitress checked on you every ten minutes.

i%26#39;m sure you made that server%26#39;s day! i think the standard tip is around $1 per drink. if you want really good service, give $5 for the first drink. if you are feeling extra generous, $2 is a really good tip.

Another spam attack, Chrispina. This post is almost 3 years old.

i fell into the trap!

i was wondering why things were moving so fast tonight... the forum is usually pretty quiet at this time of night.
